Let’s all agree pedigree is important. Even if it’s not a horseplayer’s top handicapping angle, pedigree is a key component of why we love this game—the history. There are a lot of things competing for our gambling dollar, but few can take a Tuesday race at Mountaineer and tie it back to horses and connections from 100 years ago. That’s pretty cool.
