  • Like the Pod but not…

JK is offensive, rude, and a bad human. When he’s not on, I like the pod.

  • Enjoyable but

I really enjoy listening to this podcast about horse racing, my only complaint as of late is that there are podcast week can you hear what sounds like somebody filing their nails. It gets to be so scratchy I have to stop listening. Other than that these guys are sharp with their analysis!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Assiniboia Downs Late Pick 4 Tuesday, May 19th - Sean Patrick Nolan
Q: What do you think about the new $3 pick three at ASD?
The $3 minimum is a positive step that helps separate serious players and makes the series more meaningful, potentially leading to better payouts and a more stable pool.
2026 KENTUCKY DERBY Monster Podcast BONUS | AEs Ocelli + Robusta | w/ Eric DeCoster
Q: Will you wait for the draw before finalizing your top ten or wagers?
The guest says he'll wait for the draw; his top ten remains broadly unchanged as he considers holes in form, but remains hopeful about certain contenders like INCREDIBLE.
2026 KENTUCKY DERBY Monster Podcast BONUS | AEs Ocelli + Robusta | w/ Eric DeCoster
Q: What do you think about this horse? Am I wrong to be so dismissive to talk us through his recent form?
Eric explains that while the horse is a maiden, his endurance and late-closing style could still allow him to collect pieces late, though overall odds and other runners make a big impact on Derby outcomes.
2026 Kentucky Derby BEST BETS w/ NBC's Jerry Bailey & Randy Moss
Q: How important are jockey assignments and the politics around them when evaluating Derby contenders?
Jockey choices matter less than the horse's form and trip potential at this level; the best riders can optimize position, but the difference is often marginal compared to the horse's inherent ability and pace scenario.
2026 Kentucky Derby BEST BETS w/ NBC's Jerry Bailey & Randy Moss
Q: Randy, how confident are you in Further Ado as the potential Derby winner given his Bluegrass performance and team support?
I'm confident he's got a legitimate edge if he gets a clean trip; his speed and the way Brad Cox has handled his preparation support a strong Derby case, though the field is deep and racing luck will matter.
