  • Inconsistent and delayed. But great content.

Love the depth of analysis. I have a lot invested with them. However for this podcast the Episodes are published once in a while and often a week after they’re relevant. Wish I could tap these episodes when they are launched.

  • Timely updates needed!!!!

I see all streaming platforms have Sep 18 podcasts published. But there’s also Sep 21 and Sep 28 available on the website, however, not published on podcasting platforms.

As we all know, time is of essence in trading. Fidelity needs to improve on that.

Great show and great initiative, otherwise!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A Return to All-Time Highs
Q: What are the pros and cons of selling cash-secured puts as an income strategy in the ARM/AI context?
Selling cash-secured puts provides immediate income and a potential stock purchase at a discount, but requires enough capital to collateralize and carries the obligation to buy the stock if it declines to the strike price; suitability depends on account size and willingness to own 100 shares.
A Return to All-Time Highs
Q: When or if might the Fed begin raising rates given current conditions?
The hosts note the market is pricing in potential cuts later in 2026 unless inflation accelerates; the interviewee suggests a cautious stance with room for a rate cut if geopolitical risks ease and inflation remains contained, with watchful eye on energy prices and the PPI.
All Eyes on the Strait of Hormuz
Q: What trade ideas were we looking at this week?
The hosts discuss two primary trades: (1) a bearish-to-neutral outlook on the AI/Alphabet space through selling a call-related skew via a credit spread, focusing on May expiration with a 310/290 put spread, and (2) an energy-focused trade on XLE leveraging a cash-secured put or a credit spread to capitalize on elevated volatility and potential energy price support, with careful risk management given the geopolitical backdrop.
Stagflation Regime Intensifying
Q: How would you manage the Netflix credit spread through May to protect against adverse moves?
Monitor the trade's loss threshold and consider closing if the position loses the total potential gain (roughly 100% of the collected premium) and be prepared to adjust if the stock moves in your favor, leveraging additional adjustments if the thesis remains valid.
Stagflation Regime Intensifying
Q: What tips or tricks do you use to validate a fundamental thesis with technical analysis around Netflix?
Look for major support and resistance levels formed around catalysts, validate that those levels hold as new data comes in, and use those references to construct the credit spread so that if the stock stays above the lower bound, you retain the benefit of the premium while still keeping risk in check.
