Ben gives such real life and practical advice. I learn something every time I listen and I’m excited to implement what I learn. My relationship is better with not only my teens, everyone in my life from this podcast! Thank you for such amazing content.
I’ve reviewed this podcast before, and I’m going to do it again. This is THE BEST podcast for parents with teens/pre-teens. This podcast has been so helpful in understanding how to have a healthy relationship with my sons. It’s helped me realize that I can be the father that I’ve always wanted to be. It’s helped me stop the guilt cycle, and be actively involved in the change that I want to see. It’s helped me gain confidence again in myself as a father, that I can make a positive influence. It’... more
Fantastic parenting podcast. I've been listening for about 6 months and have seen my relationship with my 16 year old completely change. Not because HE changed, but because the tools Ben offers have helped me see my role in a whole new light. I've started putting my energy into the things I can control, and I'm showing up from a healthier place. I HIGHLY recommend this podcast for anyone having a hard time with their teenager.
This podcast has been tremendously helpful to me as a mom/parent to teen son. I have learned so much both about my teen and more so, about myself. Insightful, compassionate, informative. Highly recommend.
I found Ben’s podcast via the Life Coach School and LOVE how he uses the thought model (CTFAR = Circumstance, Thoughts, Feelings, Actions, Results) along with his extensive experience as an educator, foster parent and dad to biological children to improve the lives of teens via helping parents see how their own thoughts are affecting their parenting. I’ve been in the field of psychology/behavior analysis/education for 25 years. We often throw many different “tactics” at parents who are strugglin... more

The show centers on practical, psychology-informed parenting strategies for families with teens. Across episodes, the host team emphasizes boundaries that empower rather than control, self-management for parents, and collaborative problem-solving to strengthen parent–teen relationships. The format often blends coaching concepts, real-world anecdotes, and actionable tools (e.g., rights vs. privileges, boundary framing, and thought-work) to help parents reduce drama, improve communication, and guide teens toward independence with responsibility. A notable strength is the consistent focus on internal change for parents as a lever for improving teen outcomes, along with invitations to related workshops and quizzes that extend learning beyond th... more
