“That’s what I’ve always tried to lean into is playing live, writing the songs and playing them live, is mainly why I’m still doing it, you know? I never get tired of playing live. I never get tired of making stuff up and seeing where I can go with i... more
"It's a universal language, it really is. Even if you're not speaking the language... you know, you can sing these songs and it'd just be like a wave of emotion and they can relate to it, even if they can't understand the words you're saying" - Kelsi... more

I’ve not long started on this podcast journey, and have duly gone back to the beginning, which is well worth it. Chris and his easy, gentle questions seem to bring out the best in everyone, and the conversations meander beautifully. And I suspect that I’ll be revisiting the Robbie Williams episode regularly, with or without a Twix 😊 Thank you so much Chris and Help Musicians.
I just stumbled over this podcast on FB recently. Have been a fan of Chris/Squeeze for many years and now this treasure chest of interviews to accompany my walks along the East Sussex coast - this is some fantastic place to be - many thanks
As someone who worked professionally since the 80s till late 90s with various bla bla pop stars. This show with conversations with the like of Bryan Adams and other 80s $ makers whom in the now if coming out couldn’t win a coffee from car dealer. Is bogus. The pompous chatter with absolutely no connection to present music biz realities is just a wank. Talk with the great talent who can’t make rent, not the 80s biz peeps who faced a very diff reality. Fook off.
People talking about music and a life in music is one of my favourite things. I only discovered this podcast a few weeks ago and I’ve listened to nearly all of them. Chris is such a lovely interviewer which is what gets such great conversations from guests from across the industry; all so generous with their thoughts and reflections. It is an absolute joy! Every one of them for different reasons.
