Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

JAIL FOR JESUS: The Prisoner Who Memorized Scripture
Q: Will you share a little bit about your systems of memorizing big passages of scripture and how helpful that can be?
Big passages are easier because they keep a single thought or story intact; memorizing them with context enriches understanding and makes memory more durable than isolated verses.
JAIL FOR JESUS: The Prisoner Who Memorized Scripture
Q: And how has that changed as you've gone through memorizing the Bible?
It started as seeing memorization as something for kids, then became a daily, disciplined practice, focusing on broader passages to gain context and a deeper understanding of the text.
Double Your Time With God with this Devotional
Q: What gave you the audacity to talk to God like a close friend?
I realized that there's nowhere else to go in suffering and that I could not do it on my own.
Double Your Time With God with this Devotional
Q: How did you feel or even believe and live in God's nearness in those tough seasons?
God's nearness became more apparent when I was vulnerable and honest with Him about my pain and struggles.
Rebekah Lyons Opens Up about Fighting for her Marriage
Q: What would you say to the Christian couple who's like, I don't know if I should even read another book about marriage?
I would say consider the alternative of divorce or living together without connection, both of which create pain and impact future generations. If you're committed, it's worth trying to engage and read together.
