  • Never disappoints, never fails to lead to God

This podcast never disappoints on so many levels. I don’t just learn the WORD, but I learn about how much God knows exactly where I am and IT’S OK. The Bible is not meant to just correct or just guide or just inform. BPT defines the Bible as the way to know and be known by God, the author of this Word and the author of my being.

  • Super hard to hear and understand

I have been trying with multiple episodes to listen because I know Lisa's teaching is so solid and I want to learn from her. I just can't do it. Every podcast when there has been 2 to 3 people, everyone talks at once and I can't understand what anyone is saying. The latest issue with Kristi Mcclellan was almost impossible to get through. Again, I want so much to be able to learn. I think it would be much easier if I could see faces, but in a podcast form, it's just too hard to understand.

  • What a dang blessing!

Ladies! You two are a sweet precious blessing in my life. Just discovered you a few weeks ago and can’t get enough. I’m not sure what my beliefs are yet, I’m a newbie who read the Bible cover to cover two years ago and HATED it, didn’t get it, But something (or Someone…?) kept calling me to try again, try again, try again. So I’m walking through it with you and with the Bible Recap (my other new fave) this year, and already, I’m blown away by the beauty, the big picture, the richness and promise... more

What’s So Audacious About Faith: Numbers
Q: Is there a place in your own life right now where you feel a nudge toward audacious faith?
Lisa reflects on not being trusting by nature and her ongoing journey of learning about audacious faith, especially as her daughter grows up and she may find herself alone again.
All About Abe: Genesis Pt. 2
Q: Hey, hey, Doc H. You know what? I want to ask you a question. And if you don't want to answer it, you don't have to, okay?
What's your middle name?
The Reversal of Ruin: Genesis Pt. 1
Q: How does the introduction of the Sabbath play into a restoration of dignity?
The Sabbath is not punitive; it's an invitation to rest, indicating that one's worth is not based on work. It's a day for community and remembering God's love.
A-Maized by God’s Goodness
Q: If there was only one passage you could preach for the rest of your life on gratitude, what would it be?
First Thessalonians 5:16-18, where Paul encourages believers to rejoice always and give thanks in all circumstances.
What’s Wasabi Got to Do With It?
Q: How can we hold this supernatural and scripture-aided revelation of God's Word, which we believe is absolutely authoritative and inerrant for God's intended purpose?
I think we kind of embrace the tension and go, if I'm not walking away from Bible study more in love with Jesus, I'm not bringing the right heart to dive into these promises and parameters.
