Obsessed with these quick hits of history told in a compelling and fresh way. I’ve binged all of them in a week and can’t wait for new episodes to hit!
I really love the content of this pod, but it hurts me to say I can’t listen anymore due to the specific whiplash exaggerated high/low vocal intonation the host uses. It’s the “influencer accent” now, also heard in the YouTube space, and it is way too distracting. I never can get the volume right because the low intonation is too quiet to be heard so I turn it up but then the high drawn out words are too loud. GAH I tried but I just can’t do it anymore.
