  • Changed my life.

My husband and I have been adventuring into kink and having fun when I ran into this podcast. Love all the sex education, but the relationship education has changed my life. Having a name for the cycle my husband and I keep falling into and having trouble getting out of really opened my eyes. Now I just have to work on not over functioning while he under functions. I cried when i learned there was a name for it.

I’ve listened to every single episode, some multiple times. Let’s be real, most of them multiple times (~ahem~the Susan Bratton salad dressing episode and not for the salad dressing recipe). I’ve taken away so much and look forward every week to the new drop!!! If you’re not staying around til the very end you’re missing out because they make me cry laughing sometimes. Why haven’t I left them a raving review before now? Idk but here it is!!!! Love you Honeydew me 🫶🏼🫶🏼

  • every woman needs this!

i’ve been listening to this podcast since early 2022 and these women have changed my life. I have taken something away from literally every single episode even if it doesn’t apply to my sex life because I walk away learning something new or having a new mindset. I do miss how silly the hosts used to be compared to now but as they build their brand of course they’ll make changes

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

279. The Director of The Kinsey Institute on Modern Intimacy, Dating Apps & the Sex Recession
Q: Do you think monogamy will remain the default in society, or could broader education and different relationship models shift that standard?
Monogamy remains a dominant structure due to social and evolutionary factors, but there are viable open and negotiated non-monogamy paths for some couples; ultimately, readiness to weather life together and clear communication determine long-term satisfaction more than any one structure.
279. The Director of The Kinsey Institute on Modern Intimacy, Dating Apps & the Sex Recession
Q: What is your take on dating apps and whether they hinder or help long-term intimacy?
Dating apps are excellent for breaking through noise and meeting people, but they aren't inherently good at building lasting relationships; success depends on moving beyond quick exchanges to deeper in-person interactions and sustained curiosity about the other person.
273. Just Between Us: My Boyfriend Called Me High Maintenance In Front of His Friends
Q: Should I just dive into that listener question about being called high maintenance by her boyfriend in front of his friends?
They acknowledge the hurt and validate the listener's feelings, emphasize communicating the impact of the comment, and suggest discussing boundaries with the partner to assess future compatibility.
270. We Asked Our Resident Gyno Everything You're Afraid To ft. Dr. Maria Sophocles
Q: What is consensual non-monogamy and how is it handled in relationships?
Consensual non-monogamy involves open, honest communication about desires and boundaries; it's about consent and mutual understanding rather than surprise or coercion, and it's addressed as part of open conversations about relationship dynamics.
270. We Asked Our Resident Gyno Everything You're Afraid To ft. Dr. Maria Sophocles
Q: What should someone do if their pap comes back abnormal?
Abnormal results are not an immediate emergency. Depending on severity, a repeat Pap, colposcopy, or biopsy may be needed. A good clinician will explain the level of abnormality and the next steps, and avoid panic.
