  • The bible of sex education!!

I ran a sexual health org at my college and did a lot of research on my own to make sure I was helping to educate people properly and start a good conversation. This podcast was and still is my holy grail! I’m from an abstinence only state so having this information relayed in such a fun and relatable format is so relaxing and helps me break through the societal stigma I still hold on to parts of. bravo!!

Libido Pills and the Myth of the Quick Libido Fix with Dr. Rebecca Levy-Gantt
Q: Why are libido gummies and many supplements not reliable options?
Libido gummies and many supplements often lack rigorous randomized trials, standard dosing, and quality oversight, making it hard to verify their effectiveness or safety compared to FDA-approved medications.
Libido Pills and the Myth of the Quick Libido Fix with Dr. Rebecca Levy-Gantt
Q: What is the HSDD Screener and how should patients use it before considering treatment?
The HSDD Screener is a four-question assessment (plus a fifth) to determine whether a lack of sexual desire is distressing and attributable to a diagnosable condition, ensuring that treatments are appropriate before pursuing pills or other interventions.
Libido Pills and the Myth of the Quick Libido Fix with Dr. Rebecca Levy-Gantt
Q: What exactly is Addyi and how does it work for female libido?
Addyi is a daily non-hormonal pill that targets brain neurotransmitters to recalibrate the balance between excitatory and inhibitory signals, aiming to increase sexual desire in some women, rather than increasing blood flow to genital tissues as erectile dysfunction drugs do.
Am I a bad person for paying for sex?
Q: Am I a bad person for paying for sex?
No. The host emphasizes that wanting attention and connection is a normal human need, and paying for sex does not define a person as bad; the episode focuses on understanding the underlying loneliness and seeking healthier, more fulfilling ways to meet those needs.
