    I started listening to this podcast for some historical background before my trip to Lisbon, Sintra and Tomar.     I’m about eight episodes in, covering roughly 800–1000 CE, and the show does a great job presenting Portugal’s early history in a clear and interesting way. The host explains things simply without oversimplifying, and the pacing makes it easy to follow how events connect. A solid listen to understand how the country developed in its early centuries.
