Near the end of the show, you were both somewhat in despair about the effect of your labours on changing the course of history. Perhaps people at the level of McNamara won’t see your writings, but the more that people read them or hear them in lecture halls and are influenced by them, the more difficult it is for leaders to take unwise actions. It’s easier when they know the public is with them, it’s tougher when they know the public is against them.

I minored in philosophy in school and haven’t had a great way of continuing my studies recreationally until I found this show. It covers the full spectrum of accessible social/cultural philosophy topics to more dense scholarly material. They give endless recommendations to further explore the different subjects in a better way than going down internet wormholes. Thanks

Lockerroom bloviating in the, well, in the usaoftoday they get called that, "philosophy department". They wish.
Quite literally enough said, check it out folks if you want to be a smarter, more informed citizenry. The most ardent critic of capitalism, Karl Marx, began his career in philosophy! Just love it here—so very much needed.

Guests include scholars and writers who translate dense ideas into accessible analysis, with frequent dives into how philosophy explains power, modern technology, and historical events. The format often blends textual readings, historical context, and provocative examples to illuminate complex concepts for both newcomers and specialists.
