It's the time of year to do a like searching spiritual inventory, a Great Annual Examen. This requires discernment, a word that's not all that common anymore. I also want to talk a little about AI and about becoming the kind of person who joins the... more
A winter storm canceled church, so here's a sermon of sorts. Enjoy!
Happy Thanksgiving! Here are a few thoughts on blessing, pilgrimage, monastic creativity, and the new dark age. Wishing you all many blessings. May the road rise to meet you. Enjoy!
The ancient prophets were something like the first shadow detectors, and had the courage to externalize their vision of the world. What ever happened to such prophetic imagination? Are there any lessons we can metabolize from the prophets in our ag... more
I appreciate Kent, but the podcast on Israel sounded like two white people defending the unfortunate necessity of Jim Crow laws. Part 2 was even worse. “Moral minefields?!” C’mon. I’m looking forward to Part 3, “Are your children being recruited by Hamas on TikTok?”
Really enjoying the 2 part exploration of myth and “ the father wound.” Kent explores the now cliched and is idea of “ patriarchy” through a deeper, more nuanced, and respectful lens. Hoping for my re episodes!
Kent is such an inspiring teacher and guide, shining a light on details in the pieces of the puzzle I try to put together in this life. It is so refreshing to hear rich conversations and ideas on topics that deserve so much more attention than the shallow one sentence memes on social media. Thanks Kent!
Another interesting podcast! I was glad you included a brief history of Fundamentalism as a starter.
Thank you, Kent, for crafting another very powerful teaching. Your work is a blessing to our world. We need your voice.

This podcast uniquely blends theological discussions with psycho-spiritual insights, inviting listeners to explore deeper questions about identity, authenticity, and connection in an increasingly disconnected world. Its thoughtful exploration of contemporary spiritual issues is both relevant and richly layered, making it appealing for anyone seeking a meaningful dialogue around spir... more
