  • This podcast is a precis of one of the most disgustingly 'woke' shows on Irish radio thes days (and believe me there's a lot of competition in that area unfortunately).

The other week I heard one of their TV reviewers complaining about a new American show aimed primarily at LGB teens.

He said he was disappointed that the depictions on screen of the two teenaged gays only showed them kissing, and that he would have preferred to see them (and I quote) 'explore each other' more on screen.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Should you test yourself for microplastics?
Q: So could you start by describing the tests that you took to try and ascertain how many microplastics are in your body?
David Cox explains that the testing involved two main analyses at a London longevity clinic—blood and semen tests—to estimate plastic particles, with special precautions to minimize contamination since plastic is ubiquitous, and he notes the process included sending the samples to the United States for analysis.
Should you ‘date down’?
Q: What can someone do to start developing a stronger attraction edge on a date?
Plan engaging, varied dates, ask open-ended questions, listen more than you talk, and showcase confidence with authenticity. Building attraction is about how you connect and communicate, not just what you say.
Should you ‘date down’?
Q: Frances, how have you seen Gen Z approach dating differently from previous generations?
Gen Z places more emphasis on emotional connection and personal compatibility than traditional markers like income or status, and they seem more open to dating down or choosing partners based on values and connection rather than merely looks or money.
Would planting more female trees reduce hay fever levels?
Q: So, if I understand correctly, would adding more female trees actually reduce pollen in the city?
No, because most common city trees pollinate with pollen produced by both sexes or by wind, and even species that have separate sexes still produce pollen in ways that can affect allergy sufferers.
Is laughter really the best medicine?
Q: Can a non-loud chuckle count as laughter for health benefits, or is a belly laugh essential?
Any form of genuine laughter or laughter-like activity can still engage the body's relaxation response and social signaling systems, though deep belly laughs tend to maximize the physiological benefits.
