  • This podcast is a precis of one of the most disgustingly 'woke' shows on Irish radio thes days (and believe me there's a lot of competition in that area unfortunately).

The other week I heard one of their TV reviewers complaining about a new American show aimed primarily at LGB teens.

He said he was disappointed that the depictions on screen of the two teenaged gays only showed them kissing, and that he would have preferred to see them (and I quote) 'explore each other' more on screen.

Activists occupy closed Dublin pub in hopes of community centre
Q: What has the local community reaction been like and what happens next?
Locals reportedly see value in a community space and have expressed supportive sentiments, while authorities indicate it remains a civil matter requiring potential court involvement to resolve ownership and occupancy issues, with next steps likely involving planning tweaks and possible legal proceedings.
Activists occupy closed Dublin pub in hopes of community centre
Q: Who owns the pub and what are the plans for it?
Ownership is attributed to Black Sheep Investments, and the plans described involve creating a community space with a cafe downstairs and a substantial community amenity upstairs, including potential for events, but details remain vague and pending planning approvals.
Why is 9 x 6 the hardest times table?
Q: Why is that one particularly hard for people? Is there any, you know, kind of psychological reason for that?
Nine sixes being 54 may be confusing because it is closely related to seven eights (56) in a way that can cause mix-ups; the trick with finger counting helps reinforce the correct result and makes the concept less abstract for learners.
How one man became the world’s fastest bricklayer
Q: And so, Charlie, would you have tips for bricklayers listening to become more efficient?
He emphasizes technique over raw speed: know your job well, stay fit, position yourself and your materials well, and study movements to identify and cut out inefficiencies, rather than chasing speed at the expense of accuracy.
What does gold panning look like in Ireland?
Q: Can you keep the gold you find?
Small amounts can be kept for souvenirs, but officially all gold is property of the state and you must report larger finds or nuggets beyond certain thresholds.
