  • I love this podcast. I'm not sure how I found it but I am so glad I did. Until this podcast I never initiated turning on a podcast. In the car I would listen to the ones my husband turned on and be fine but now I listen to this podcast whenever I can. I don't know how many times she has said something and I thought "seriously?!?, others struggle with that too?" And then gives you actionable items to help with that exact struggle. Thank you Heather!

45 | The Branding Mistakes Real Estate Agents Can’t Afford To Make in 2026 with Sarah Bell
Q: What are the biggest mistakes people make when DIYing their brand?
A major mistake is using a logo that literally says what you do (like a house in the logo). Instead, brands should differentiate themselves through strategic positioning, messaging, and a cohesive visual system that tells a unique story and connects emotionally with the right clients.
45 | The Branding Mistakes Real Estate Agents Can’t Afford To Make in 2026 with Sarah Bell
Q: What have you learned about real estate branding, and is branding still important as we head into 2026?
Branding remains crucial; the core is understanding the client on the other side of the screen and communicating their pain points through consistent messaging and visuals. Real estate branding should reflect care, trust, and expertise, especially as market dynamics shift and competition increases.
45 | The Branding Mistakes Real Estate Agents Can’t Afford To Make in 2026 with Sarah Bell
Q: Sarah, can you start off just by giving us a little bit of your background and how you got to where you are now?
Sarah describes a winding career path from English literature to higher education, freelancing in graphic design, and eventually founding Bell and Whistle Design. She emphasizes learning through hands-on branding work with small, women-owned businesses and carving a niche in service-based brands, including real estate, by focusing on strategy as much as design.
48 | Want More Consistency in Your Real Estate Business in 2026? Hiring a VA Is the Next Step
Q: What do you see as the biggest need when it comes to hiring a VA that keeps agents from making that hire when they need to?
The biggest hurdle is the chicken-and-egg issue of needing more money to hire, but needing more work to generate that money. The advice is to view it as an investment in the business and adjust mindset toward scale, use a plan to get to the point where hiring becomes a natural next step.
60 | The Simple Sphere Plan That Keeps Clients Coming Back (Masterclass Part 2)
Q: If you were to implement one of the four touches, what one would you start with?
Start with the monthly newsletter because, although it costs money, it consistently yields referrals and engagement; if budget is tight you can begin with a lower cadence (quarterly or biannual) and scale up as referrals rise.
