  • Impressive Start

A really interesting listen for women navigating work and life transitions - it’s unique in that it explores raw experience over performative blah! Di Ryall's reflections were down-to-earth and real and at times gently provocative. Amanda's draws out thoughtful responses without making herself the centre of the conversation. An enjoyable and worthwhile listen.

  • Definitely worth a listen

HTHP is inspired positioning for these conversations. The first episode with Di Ryall was really interesting and insightful with some great gems along the way. And thank you for letting your guest shine - too many podcasters try to make it all about themselves and continually interrupt their guests. You showed your style and grace by interacting just the right amount. Thanks Amanda!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

E7: Andrea Hardy - The doors we open
Q: Who has supported you the most along your career journey?
My husband has been the biggest cheerleader, supporting my decisions and providing stability as I navigated high-pressure roles. I also credit past bosses and mentors who championed me, helping network and introduce me to new opportunities.
E7: Andrea Hardy - The doors we open
Q: How hard was it to get to the decision to start your own business and pursue a flexible, portfolio career?
The catalyst came from wanting better balance for my family and a belief that I could run a business that allowed me to be present for my kids while still delivering value to clients. I prepared by taking six months off to reset, set up terms and conditions, and gradually built a model that could work around school schedules, then expanded when the opportunity arose.
EP1: Diana Ryall - Embracing the Unexpected
Q: Can you walk us through the key turning points in your journey from early education to becoming a leader in tech?
Diana describes a series of adaptive pivots—from teaching to education tech upon moving to the US, to joining Apple and rising to managing director in Australia. Each pivot was driven by curiosity, willingness to learn on the job, and a readiness to take on challenging roles that leveraged her strengths in facilitating learning and mentoring others.
EP2: Sonia Casanova - In pursuit of a purposeful life
Q: So can you take me back on the Sonia Casanova journey from then until now?
Sonia walks through her shift from studying tourism management to entering financial services, then a startup airline, and finally moving into not-for-profit leadership with Dress for Success, driven by a desire to do purposeful work and advance gender equity.
