  • One of the best

Nihal has to be one of the best and most natural interviewers around today. He knows when to leave a silence and let the interviewee think and when he does interject it is always pertinent or with a follow up relevant to the interview.

With over 600 episodes to choose from, something for everyone.

His empathy in the episode with Suzi Ruffell was heartfelt and as someone from the LGBT+ community, I just know this man is here to bring us all a an education.

  • Wonderful

Thank you Nihal and (as I’m guessing that it’s not just you) thank you for your team too. I struggle daily with the inhumanity in the world today and I find it very moving and comforting to listen to your interviews and the warmth and compassion you express with your interviewees.

  • Amazing

Nihal is the best interviewer! how has it taken this long for me to discover him. I consume a huge amount of content from podcasts and radio and he is a master. If only other podcasters and interviewers could ask the in-depth level of questions and give the same space to listen to the answers. Craig David’s summary of Nihal was spot on! look forward to listening to the whole back catalogue.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Noémi Orvos-Tóth
Q: Can you just talk a little bit more about the damage that is done to the child that survived?
It depends how the parents react to the loss. They might project their pain onto the living child or become overprotective.
Noémi Orvos-Tóth
Q: How do you persuade a parent to not repeat the mistakes?
It's about making a conscious decision to look back at their past experiences and understand the impact on their parenting.
Kasim Ali
Q: How did that make you feel?
It made me feel very angry when she said that. I just think, I can't believe she's just said something like this.
Dan Reed
Q: What is the conversation that you have with people who are never, ever not going to be traumatized by what they saw?
It combines the human urge to have their story told with the necessity of addressing media narratives that might contradict their experiences.
Dan Reed
Q: What does it take for you to say to yourself, okay, there's something here. There's something in this that I need to explore further?
It takes an event that all of us have heard about, like the Southport knife attack and the riots that followed, creating a question about what really happened and how one thing led to another.
