This is the story of Harper Rose, a local Sheriff hunting down killers in the United Cities of America. Harper lives in a world set one thousand years in the future, a world where climate collapse has come and gone, but Harper doesn't know that. In fact, nobody does. One of the best. Absolutely loved it. I was leery about season 3 but I am so glad I gave it a chance. 5 stars all day.
Post environmental collapse, in the only surviving place on earth, we follow an independent woman, the outpost's law woman, as she travels to the big town to qualify as sheriff, and discovers mysteries. Perhaps the world is larger than she was led to believe? Strong female lead. Single narrator. Fascinating world-building as we discover what has survived, what mythologized in year 3030.
This is a fun story. It’s definitely just someone reading a book though, it’s not a typical audio drama. But it was still really fun.
Such captivating and beautiful stories. I really hope I have the pleasure of hearing more in the future!
Update: I really enjoyed the first two seasons and wouldn’t have thought the 3rd could be that much better. I was wrong, it really is even better than the first 2!
