I just started listening to Hallowed Waters and I can’t get enough. There are a range of interesting topics and discussion shared that digs deep into this sport and there is always something to be learned. I particularly enjoyed the 4 part series on the Catskills and the guests they brought on as they are in my opinion among the most respected and knowledgeable people in the sport including the host. A wizard on water and a poet in podcast. Matt you always do such a masterful job explaining the complexities of all things fish/fly/environment. Your recent podcast on the plight of Atlantic Salmon was extremely inspirational. My new found love of fly fishing has taken a more intentional approach to conservation of these beloved watersheds. Keep up the great work, you sharing your body of knowledge helps motivate up and coming fly anglers. Well done !
Not only is this a great podcast with quality guests for us who chase trout and the passion of fly fishing but overall I am grateful for a show that isn’t over produced. It’s raw and authentic. Matt is himself and he doesn’t try to fit the narrative of anyone else. Refreshing! Keep up the awesome work!
I have been really enjoying the Hallowed Waters Pod Casts. I like the way Matt is interviewing the present Fly-Fishing Professionals and also pays tribute to the past Fly-Fishing Professionals as well! The information is very informative. I often find myself taking notes on subjects discussed, a book that was mentioned and/or a specific technique. I have sent Matt questions on podcasts subject matters that were mentioned, and his response(s) are returned promptly. I highly recommend listeni... more
I appreciate the wide spectrum of topics and guests presented on Hallowed Waters. Yes, there are times Matt can be especially verbose, but it comes from his passion and curiosity, and the fact that he’s wildly extroverted. It’s a rare thing for there to be long-form conversations that bring modern perspectives juxtaposed with foundational texts and concepts, and the fact that we have that here is something I am very thankful to Matt for creating.
