Interesting, but feels a bit like the writers were too much on top of the story and forgot to provide much context. “Obscene”, by the Beeb, on the same topic is considerably better, and the story unfolds much more grippingly too.

As a child of the 70s so much of this early 80s history seemed familiar but understandably was kept from us as kids. I loved this podcast! Harry McGee’s artful story telling of this grotesque, unbelievable, bizarre and unprecedented story is gripping!

Interesting subject which I remember from growing up, and all the hullabaloo at the time. Podcast does a good job but it’s the small things that grate though, and I just don’t really get the need for ‘bigging up’ the credits to the Carter and Reagan Libraries at the end of each episode for what was essentially a few brief interludes of recordings of about 10-20 seconds.
