  • A Gentle England

The accidental visitor to Gretel’s podcast would be excused for wondering what is going on. If that same accidental visitor happens to have a cup of tea and decides to stay they will hear an eclectic mix of unashamedly England-centred readings, an England that is gentle, friendly and self-effacing,

  • A peaceful island of calm in the midst of life’s chaotic waters

Gretel’s podcast has become something rather special: she shares her daily inner conversation with us, musing on life, art history and just about anything with simple honesty and complete authenticity. It feels like talking to a friend which in these days of home working and Zoom calls is a rarity.

  • A podcast to unwind to

I’m so glad I happened across this podcast. It is a delightful mixture of sounds of Dorset & other tranquil places, saints, readings from Bede, Pepys, Churchill, & personal musings on life & grief. There are many thoughtful moments & it is the perfect accompaniment to a quiet early morning cup of coffee or evening hot cocoa. I look forward to listening to it & listen most days, sometimes twice.

  • Cerebral and Authentic

This unpretentious and quiet podcast helps me unwind and put the world in perspective. I don’t have time to listen every day but it’s nice to know it’s there every day, like a regular in the pub that you are glad to see.
