Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

03/05 Hour 1 - World Cup and Premier League Updates + Inter Miami Sets the Bar for MLS!
Q: Is it important for the Houston Dynamo to have Houston area players on the team that compete in MLS, or is it just about winning?
Victor outlines that while winning is essential, there's significant value in homegrown players for community connection and long-term club identity, though roster decisions balance development with performance needs.
03/05 Hour 2 - Great Interview with Claudio Pizarro, Formerly of Bayern Munich
Q: Here is part one, Claudio Pizarro. Well, Claudio, just when you look back on your career and the extension of it and how long you played and how consistent you are, what's the secret to going this long playing the game at such a high level in Europe?
Secret? I don't think there is a secret. It's just the love for the game. I try to be part of this sport I love as long as I can, and I adjust by changing my diet and taking better care of my body, while relying on good coaches and a strong support system to help me stay at peak levels.
03/04 Destination 2026 - World Cup & German National Team Updates, Plus Interview with Claudio Pizarro
Q: What is the secret to playing at a high level for so long?
There is no secret; it stems from love of the game, disciplined lifestyle, diet, recovery, and continual learning from coaches and teammates.
02/24 Hour 2 - Houston Soccer History, and Life in the 1970's with Houston Hurricane/Summit Player Kai Haaskivi
Q: What was your first experience with soccer, Adonis?
My first serious understanding of soccer came when I traveled to France in 2005.
02/25 Destination 2026 - World Cup Updates, Cultural Ownership in Soccer, Conversation with Brian Sciaretta
Q: What is the biggest piece for the US Men's National Team getting ready for the important warm-up matches?
Goalkeeping is the weakest it's ever been and if the US is going to advance, they need big saves.
