「厳しくなる方法を考える前に、愛せてるか考えた方がいい」
厳しさと愛情は反対のものじゃないと思っています。むしろ同じ場所にあるものだと思うんです。社員を愛せていないから厳しくできない。自分の子どもだったらどうするか、という問いを突き詰めていく中で、そんな結論にたどり着きました。育成やマネジメントに悩んでいる人にこそ、聞いてほしい話です。

新年最初の収録で、僕が改めて考えていたのは、上司と先輩の決定的な違いでした。仕事ができて頼りになる先輩は魅力的です。でも、その延長で上司をやってしまうと、人は育たない。上司の役割は技術を教えることじゃなく、キャリアや人生の考え方を伝えることだと思っています。

2025年を通じて、寄付は「余裕があればするもの」ではなく、「事業の延長線にあるもの」だと捉えるようになったという。更生保護への寄付や、食料支援としてのカップラーメン寄付。寄付を前提に利益を生み、社会に返し、また循環をつくる。それを一過性ではなく、やり続けると決めた。経営者としての価値観の変化と今を語る。
