先週の木曜日に続いて 絵本14ひきシリーズ 第２弾をお届けします。いわむら さんが緻密に考えた 家の間取り から 家族関係まで それが12冊の絵本全てに当てはめられているため、見ている私たちはとても安心していられます。
なので、特にハラハラすることもなく、それぞれの本で12匹のネズミを温かい気持ちで観察し、彼らの生活のしくみや、人間(ねずみ)関係の機微を知ることができます。

いわむらかずおさんの 絵本 14ひきのねずみのお話 12話のなかから最初の ひっこし と最後の もちつき を比較しながらお話しました。
このシリーズの面白さについて語りました。語っていたら、うちでかっている猫たちが暴れ出しまして、 これはやっぱり お話がネズミだからですかね。 まあ、それはそれとして、この２冊から、シリーズ制作の間に、いわむら さんの描き方が変わらないところと 変わったところを 見つけながらお話をしました。

鈴木のりたけさんの絵本ケチャップマンは不思議な本ですが、この本の世界はどんな世界なんだろう。表紙の八百屋さんは昭和中期の感じだし、でもマックみたいなお店もあるしね。何よりあのケチャップマンとはなにものなんだろう。不思議なことだられですが、皆さんあまり気になっていないようですよね。でも、ここをあえてこだわって、考えてみると、その先にあなただけの不思議な想像の世界が開けてくるのです。今回はそんな実験のお話です。

GG D パヴリシーン が絵を描いた 神沢利子さんの鹿よ俺の兄弟よ は、最初見たときは ただ緻密に自然が描かれた絵本だと思っていましたが、先日猫が落としたこの本を拾い上げてパラパラと見たところ、「おーっ」となりました。

アメリカではベストセラーであるマーガレット・ワイズ・ブラウンの「TheImportantBook」(うちだややこ訳のタイトルは「たいせつなこと」)この絵本は、簡単な文章ながら疑問だらけの絵本なのです。その疑問を解くためにフカヨミしてみました。その結果、私は結構スッキリしました。絵本がなくても話を聞くだけで、一緒にスッキリしませんか?
この絵本はイランで作られ、アメリカで翻訳されて出版されました。つまり、いま戦争をしているアメリカとイランが関係しています。内容的にも、自分が正しいと思う概念の押し付け合いをテーマにしているので、戦争にも関係しているように感じられます。
色と形が似ているものはお互いに「響く」と表現されます。この絵本では、金メダルについている赤いひもと少年の顔の真ん中にある恥ずかしげな赤い鼻が響いています。
