What’s a story a journalist took a chance on that changed history? A vote that a politician never should have cast? A son... more

Love Sam Bee so much. This podcast is a little glimmer of sanity and hilarity. Love the women she interviews. The dudes tend to talk over her which I cannot with.

  • Last episode was a total bummer

Started listening to this podcast recently and was really enjoying it until Jon Lovett started going off on Philadelphia and Sam chimed in with her agreement. What the heck? Mean-spirited attack on a wonderful city by two people I respected up to that point.

Q: Is a single massive protest enough, or do we need ongoing, varied tactics?
A single march is not enough; No Kings is part of a broader strategy of mass defiance across many fronts, with big marches acting as recruitment moments and narrative interventions to spur ongoing organizing.
Check Out: Hell yeah it's No Kings 3 — here's how to make it massive
Q: Where should we focus for No Kings given the broad range of issues at play (Middle East, Ukraine, ICE funding, DOJ, vaccines, etc.)?

Q: When was this book, when did you release it?
The book was released in October, during the anniversary of the stock market crash.

Q: What do you think happens that people cling to the idea of a reset in January?
Oster shares that humans need definitive times to set goals and often reflect on things they wish were different after the excesses of December.
