  • Clark Basher

This guy goes out if his way to disparage Clark. Ok. He acts like she’s the 3rd best player on the team. Sydney Afholter is MVP over Clark? Need an MRI maybe. Have fun. Clark plays on a team with no Scottie Pippen or James Worthy. She gets all the focus. She takes 22 shots per game and hits 46% from fieid and 33% from 3’s with constant double teams

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Iowa - Michigan Postgame with Kachine Alexander | Big Ten Tournament - Semifinals | Iowa Women's Basketball Postgame
Q: What stood out to you most about the fourth quarter and the adjustments to slow Michigan's momentum?
The defensive intensity and timely offensive plays turned the game, with Chit Chat guiding the offense and Stolke providing energy; adjustments at timeouts changed the pace and kept Iowa in control.
Iowa - Illinois Postgame with Kachine Alexander | Big Ten Tournament - Quarterfinals | Iowa Women's Basketball Postgame
Q: What was the biggest issue at the end of the game and how did Iowa manage the offense in a tight finish?
The hosts and guest discuss offensive stagnation when the ball stuck at the top, emphasizing the need to run more set plays and involve Journey Houston to get the ball into the right hands, while also noting the importance of not overexerting players who are dealing with fatigue.
Iowa - UCLA Postgame with Kachine Alexander | Big Ten Tournament - Championship | Iowa Women's Basketball Postgame
Q: Is there any downside to beating Michigan and then getting blown out by 51—could that affect seed or psychology going into the NCAA tournament?
Yes, there could be a psychological drag and potential seed implications, especially given the blowout score against a top opponent, though resumes and matchups will ultimately determine seeds.
Iowa - Ohio State Postgame with Coach Gary Close | Big Ten Tournament - 3rd Round | Iowa Men's Basketball Postgame
Q: What did you see on that last three, was there a foul earlier that influenced the play?
Gary Close indicated there was debate about whether Fouling would occur and with three seconds left, Brendan Haasen's claim of being fouled was a focal point; he suggested reviewing the broadcast to confirm the contact, while acknowledging the outcome depended on multiple factors and the defense's setup.
Iowa - Maryland Postgame with Coach Gary Close | Big Ten Tournament - 2nd Round | Iowa Men's Basketball Postgame
Q: What did you think about the first-half stagnation and the later tempo shift in the second half?
Coaches Close and the hosts agreed the slow start was typical for an 11 a.m. tournament game, but the team found a faster tempo in the second half, which unlocked shooting and transition opportunities.
