  • More ‘uh’s and ‘um’s than actual information

Absolutely dreadful. Coughing and sneezing is not cut out. Constantly stuttering and saying ‘um’ which just makes it stop and start rather than flow. It’s genuinely unlistenable.

  • Great thinkers but

I became fascinated with this podcast and his guests.

It was kind of hard to hear Pete say he’d vote for JD Vance. Sorry Pete I’m not voting for a fake hillbilly Trump 3.0. Fool me thrice shame on me.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Reading Ivan Ilyin's 'On Resistance to Evil by Force' w/ Dr. Matthew Raphael Johnson - Pt. 13
Q: I can't wait to bring the kitten into the show, but Dr. Johnson, what's happening with Tolstoy's critique here?
Dr. Johnson responds by outlining Tolstoy's dual-source morality—empathic compassion and doctrinaire reason—and explains how this bifurcation shapes his view on resisting evil, with the host guiding the discussion toward the implications for practical action and political life.
Live with RealThomas777 -05/28/26
Q: Can you expand on the relationship between the RAF and Middle Eastern groups?
The guest outlines a historical view of links between Western fascist movements and Middle Eastern actors, emphasizing a networked, translational approach to insurgent strategy rather than a single, linear alliance.
Reading Solzhenitsyn's '200 Years Together' w/ Dr. Matthew Raphael Johnson - Part 91-100
Q: What is the central claim about Jewish involvement in Soviet leadership according to this segment?
The hosts discuss Solzhenitsyn's claim that Jews occupied a significant number of top and mid-level positions in the party and NKVD, arguing that this was a systemic feature rather than an incidental coincidence, and they debate the implications of such a concentration of power.
Reading Ivan Ilyin's 'On Resistance to Evil by Force' w/ Dr. Matthew Raphael Johnson - Pt. 4
Q: How are you approaching this reading today, Dr. Johnson?
Dr. Johnson describes his method of unpacking Ilyin's framework, highlighting the interplay between love, humility, and the defense of the community through disciplined action.
Episode 1370: The Road to Civil War Pt. 11 - Jackson and Indian Relations - w/ George Bagby
Q: How did Jackson justify the removal policies in the face of landmark Supreme Court decisions?
Bagby explains that Jackson framed the issue as a state vs. federal sovereignty challenge and argued that the practical reality of frontier violence and the failings of tribal governance required a central approach, which gradually led to the Indian Removal Act and the reservation system as a way to manage subsistence, law, and culture.
