Love FrAngela. Listening for years. Funny, informative. But the episode with Dr. Sturgill, her voice was muddy. Missed a lot of what she said. What little I could decipher sounded interesting, but it was a struggle to hear. FrAngela was crisp and clear but the Dr. was not.

  • Informative and hilarious

So funny and relatable, I recently discovered this podcast and I’ve fallen in love with Frangela! Thank you for keeping me informed and laughing. More than that, I love that they look at things from a woman’s point of view. I feel like they’re old friends and we’re discussing all the crazy things, be it politics or a shark with a fish up its behind. Highly recommended.

  • Must listen to keep informed and laugh while doing it!

I discovered these two hilarious and intelligent women on the Stephanie Miller show and I cannot get enough of them. I could listen to them every day. They’re not only well-informed, smart and real, but are incredibly funny women. They are the light we need in these very dark times. Love from Canada.❤️

  • Lighting a fire for the new Civil Rights fight!

As a white man living in deep-red Ohio, who grew up very poor in West Virginia and knew exactly one Black kid during my entire childhood, my perspective has changed dramatically over the years. I have not voted Republican since before the Obama era, largely because close Black friends cared enough to challenge me, educate me, and help me see realities I had been blind to.

Today, I find myself constantly asking how I can do more to stand up for justice. At the same time, I often feel inadequate ... more

  • Frangela, Frangela!

These 2 brilliant and funny women always give perspectives that not only make me laugh out loud but make me go “Hmmm?!?!” Their own programing as well as their regular star-turns on Stephanie Miller, Bob Cesca and John Fugelsang always leave me gob-smacked! Thank you ladies!

SPECIAL CONVERSATION WITH DR. AMANDA STURGILL OF THE UNSPUN PODCAST
Q: Can you talk to us about Detecting Deception and the rationale behind the book?
Dr. Sturgill explains that the book provides tools and quick-reference ideas to help people recognize deceptive language and propaganda, aiming to upgrade journalism education for the modern media landscape where much of what's produced is transcriptional rather than investigative reporting.
A New Voice for California: Tim Myers and the Fight for Change
Q: How can our listeners support you?
Tim encourages listeners to visit his campaign website, donate, and volunteer for door-knocking efforts to help flip the seat.
A New Voice for California: Tim Myers and the Fight for Change
Q: What has been the most surprising thing to you about running for office?
Tim responds that the support he has received has been a pleasant surprise, including the outpouring of inspiration from the community.
Boycotts & Buffoonery!
Q: Did the February 28th boycott work?
The discussion highlights that while the boycott aimed to raise awareness of Black spending and the impact of racism, its one-day scope limited its effectiveness, mainly serving as a symbolic gesture. The hosts emphasize the need for sustained activism and boycotting strategies that encourage informed spending in local businesses owned by people of color.
It's A New Year - Ep 329
Q: Have you felt attacked for your opinion in this space or in social media?
I have not. But it feels like it's all walking on a really sharp blade. I don’t want to harm anybody.
