  • Great discussion about osteoporosis

As a male pilates instructor / studio owner in his late 50’s who was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis after experiencing a thoracic compression fracture I found this discussion interesting and informative. I’ve recently (past 8 months) begun to introduce heavier weights into my studio and incorporate them into the training of my mostly female clientele with great interest and success. Thank you for raising awareness of this vitally important topic. 🙏🏻😊

Macro tracking, mom guilt & the invisible load with Natalie Guevara
Q: What would you tell a mom who feels overwhelmed about changing her health habits after having children?
Acknowledge that bandwidth fluctuates and that perfection is impossible. Start with small, regulated steps that align with values, like gradually shifting away from strict macro tracking and toward behaviors that support energy and mood. It's about growing capacity over time and lowering expectations to prevent the sense of failure when life gets chaotic.
Macro tracking, mom guilt & the invisible load with Natalie Guevara
Q: What are your thoughts on what might be a better approach?
The better approach starts with understanding the underlying drivers of behavior, not just counting calories or macros. By examining why and when we eat, plus the real-life constraints of motherhood, we can use a structured framework to regulate the nervous system, tailor nutrition to life, and build a stronger identity that supports sustainable changes.
Living and Training with Hypermobility with Sahara Coleman
Q: Can you tell me a little about your hypermobility story?
Sahara recounts her painful childhood experiences and how her hypermobility was misunderstood until she received a proper diagnosis much later in life.
Rethinking hypermobility, strength training & body composition with Caryln Rubin
Q: How do you feel like having to go through all of that when you're really quite young?
Carlyn discusses the complexities of accepting her body and movement due to her early experiences of chronic pain and surgeries.
