  • Dream team!

Just being in the orbit of Niall and Dain’s friendship is worth the price of admission ($0) but these guys are both weird and wise — the two qualities I prize in a podcast. Highly recommended!

  • It is my sincere belief that we need to normalize talking about sex. Not in a grody or harassment sort of way. Just… acknowledging it exists. That will demystify it and make people comfortable seeking help and advice. It goes without saying that I very much appreciate this podcast for doing just that. Hosts Niall and Dain speak very casually about all things sex and relationships. They cover a wide range of topics from contraception, to foreplay, to dating, and more. There were also listener que... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Bung Ho
Q: Is it reasonable for someone to want their partner to commit in a non-traditional way like a 'blood pact' instead of engagement?
The hosts strongly advise against extreme symbolic measures as substitutes for commitment, emphasizing that such acts can be unsafe or off-putting and often signal deeper compatibility issues; if either partner is uncomfortable, they should not proceed and reassess the relationship.
Bung Ho
Q: What should I do if my partner's medical notes say something worrying like 'currently sexually active with two male partners'?
Have a calm, in-person conversation to clarify what the note means, consider timing and context, and avoid jumping to conclusions or invading privacy; honesty and direct communication are preferred to accusations or paranoia.
Bung Ho
Q: Is the rule of thumb you should ask a girl out twice still valid?
The hosts explain that no single rule fits every situation; if someone says no, trust that boundary, and if they engage later due to changing circumstances, reassess without pressuring. The emphasis is on consent, context, and avoiding coercion, while recognizing that people may reconnect later if both feel comfortable and respected.
Looking for Guts
Q: Is there a recommended 'end point' for a relationship if communication continues to fail?
The hosts highlight that if removing a partner leads to a significantly better life, ending the relationship may be the healthier option, and encourage honest evaluation rather than staying due to inertia.
Looking for Guts
Q: What's the best approach if you're worried you're drifting apart after many years together?
They recommend a direct, non-accusatory discussion, possibly starting with a letter or note but delivered at a calm moment, and to avoid pressuring the partner by timing the talk around busy or stressful moments; they also propose writing out thoughts first to organize points.
