I really enjoy how accessible these conversations are without sacrificing depth.
Great centre-Right insights on socio-political and historical topics.
Terrific podcast. Thank you.
Found these guys searching for some Lasch discussions, and love the deep dive on his stuff (especially the convo on ‘Revolt’). Tempted to become a Patreon subscriber for the ‘True and Only…’. Keep up the great work fellas.
I started the podcast earlier this year while trying to better understand Lasch, and haven’t left since. Emmet is a great story teller and always allows his guests to speak and make their points. John is seemingly always sick, but his dry demeanor is quite enjoyable. Would (and have) recommended this one
This podcast continues to deliver accessible and compelling discussions about topics that don’t get enough attention from other shows. Both hosts are serious about ideas, but they never come off as elitist or obscure. I credit this show with helping open my eyes to the importance of nuclear energy in the transition away from fossil fuels.
Deeply insightful and approachable. Highly recommend the after virtue series (on the patreon feed)
If you’re sick of the “bread and games” distraction of day-to-day political coverage, and instead you’re looking for astute commentary and analysis of the obvious rot that is everywhere in our society, then this is a podcast for you. The hosts are well-spoken and well-read. Definitely worth a listen.
come for the philosophy, stay for the Indian Point apologia
Excellent for energy policy. A little crazy on the communist apololgia, but otherwise edudite and on point.
This pod tries to answer this seemingly philosophical problem steeped in political economy & materialism with a heterodox approach not consumed by leftist fantasy or NRx-loving anti-leftist propaganda. Real insight into today’s politics & what brought it to this point with a somber but accurate account that still somehow brings in surprisingly moving personal experiences & classical ideals like what do we want Our descendants to inherit.
I loved the videodrome episode.
Unmatched insight. My favorite show to listen to
However, excellent deep dives into issues concern us in our contemporary life! Great stuff!
This podcast is for those who like to critically engage with our culture and who like to learn. Quality pod. Frankly, my favorite pod—and I listen to an embarrassing amount of them. This pod is so quality you can tell they are not trying very hard to make money lol.
