  • Infectious curiosity

This has become one of my favourite podcasts. The host’s voracious curiosity and wide ranging interests especially in history and philosophy open up interesting doors. While some of the earlier episodes are wobbly, over time it has become an excellent entertaining source of information.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Some children claim they remember their PAST LIVES - what's happening? With Dr. Philip Cozzolino
Q: You've mentioned several famous cases and a robust database. Could you explain a particularly compelling example and why it stands out?
A standout case involves a child who provided precise details about a former life that were later verified through external records, including birth data and career history. This kind of corroboration, especially when it aligns with previously unknown archival material, strengthens the argument that these memories can reflect real past-life information, whether through reincarnation or another mechanism.
Some children claim they remember their PAST LIVES - what's happening? With Dr. Philip Cozzolino
Q: Let's turn to your research. Assuming there are commonalities here, who are these kids and what are they saying?
There are commonalities in age of onset, types of details (names, places, occupations), and the persistence and coherence of narratives; while reincarnation is one plausible interpretation, other hypotheses like super-psi or Akashic records are considered, and the data show patterns such as a high incidence of birthmarks, language phenomena in xenoglossy, and strong emotional components.
The RENAISSANCE: Ideas, Art, Money, libertine Popes, House of Medici and Savonarola. With Prof. Kenneth Bartlett
Q: Did ordinary Florentines participate in the Renaissance, or was it only for elites?
While the elite conducted the major cultural activities, ordinary people engaged with the visual culture through church art and affordable prints.
The RENAISSANCE: Ideas, Art, Money, libertine Popes, House of Medici and Savonarola. With Prof. Kenneth Bartlett
Q: Were artists like Michelangelo celebrated while they were alive?
Yes, they were recognized as geniuses and often patronized by the powerful, which elevated their status.
The RENAISSANCE: Ideas, Art, Money, libertine Popes, House of Medici and Savonarola. With Prof. Kenneth Bartlett
Q: Why did the Renaissance begin in Florence specifically?
Florence developed wealth through its skill in wool production and allegiance to the papacy which helped it become a banking center.
