I’ve been seeking a good podcast(or few!). That will help me in my walk in faith. Having recently experienced the traumatic death of my brother, my heart is angry and hurting. Feel that ‘experiencing Joy through Forgiveness’ was directly aimed at me! And felt my heart move at the message.

I am relieved to have found a podcast that is so on fire, so well spoken and energetic about the path with God. One that I have been struggling to commit wholly to lately.

What If You're Not Broken—You're Just Different? - with Kristen LaValley
Q: How did you navigate the tension between church expectations and discovering your own path in faith?
She explains that realizing how deeply God loves her changed everything; with that foundation, she could discern boundaries, avoid punitive 'perfect church member' standards, and learn to rely on a compass within her through God's love and trusted friends.
What If You're Not Broken—You're Just Different? - with Kristen LaValley
Q: Well, will you kick us off by just telling us kind of the shortened version of what was your experience growing up in the church? What were you taught there?
Kristen describes growing up in a charismatic, milestone-driven ministry family where high spiritual performance was celebrated, which led her to feel unseen and unworthy when she didn't meet those milestones. This created a deep sense of shame and self-doubt that she carried into adulthood.
Why 95% of Couples Don't Pray Together (And How to Start) - with Brad and Heidi Mitchell
Q: What should a couple start with if they're unsure how to begin praying together?
Start with simple, short prayers, possibly a 'thank you' prayer for a week, then gradually expand to longer, more structured conversations with written prompts.
Why 95% of Couples Don't Pray Together (And How to Start) - with Brad and Heidi Mitchell
Q: Is praying with your spouse only for the spiritually elite, or can average couples benefit too?
Average couples can absolutely benefit; prayer becomes foundational when both partners commit and start small, with guidance and practice to reduce awkwardness.
What to Do When Someone You Love Is Struggling with Mental Health - with Shaunti Feldhahn
Q: What is The Church Cares kit and how can a church get involved?
The Church Cares kit provides free resources, training, listening skills, intake forms, and a simple pathway for mobilizing volunteers to support people in need within a church setting.
