Thanks for this amazing and super ‘niche’ yet essential look into the DCI activity. For a super fan already itching to share my own story, it is awesome to hear some really interesting voices tell their history. Keep it up. I miss DCI live so much, but will enjoy these deep dives while we can!
Love Dan and his takes, but bowing to the official party line of DCI only gets you so far. It’s like the drum corps version of Chinese food: you like it well enough, but ten minutes later you’re hungry again.
These discussions have given me so much insight into show design and I’m excited to see the shows again with increased understanding.
Love Dan, but too few episodes.
I have no hesitation saying that it is one the highest quality podcasts I’ve ever listened to. EXCELLENT insight into the activity, really really intriguing guests, high production value etc etc etc. but there are just so few episodes each year. Like maybe 8-15 episodes each year for a total of 1-2 hours a year.
I love this show, I just want more of it
