  • NOTHING BUT “THE REGULARS” REMINISCING

This show USED TO BE a wealth of information that people could learn a great deal from. NOT ANYMORE.

Now, it’s a matter of a few regulars calling in to hear themselves talk on the radio (think Jeff from Montana, Jerry from Greeley, John from Cheyenne, etc.). That is often exasperated by the often repeated “question of the day”.

Twenty years ago, a caller told the host(s) that this show was nothing more than an infomercial. I now know that to be true.

My time is now better spent elsewhere.

  • John, two things please????

    1) Please take out the commercials for the podcast. I live in Chicago and your local Denver ads are just plain irritating.

    2) John, STOP talking over everyone. Listen to yourself sometime. We all know you know a lot - LET PEOPL FINISH THEIR SENTENCES!

  • Ad laden garbage

Listen to three episodes in a row. Started off OK but inns up being a show about the final one off any insurance claim body shops, "doctors"and ambulances chasing attorneys. Clearly slanted in one Direction and what should've been about call repair turns into a political podcast. Much better ones Out there.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

HR1 DRIVE RADIO May 16, 2026
Q: Do hybrids need to use something like EPR as much as other engines?
Yes, hybrids often benefit from more frequent use of additives like EPR due to direct injection and longer shutdown periods, which can lead to buildup; many experts recommend using it with each oil change.
HR2 DRIVE RADIO May 16, 2026
Q: Being an expert on general automotive knowledge, what would the correct ignition timing be on a 1955 Bel Air Chevrolet with a 327 cubic inch engine and a four barrel carburetor?
The hosts reveal that a '55 Bel Air with a 327 and four-barrel did not exist; the 327 was not released until 1962 and was not offered in that trim until 1964, and the correct ignition timing for a 1964 setup with that engine would be about four degrees before top dead center.
HR3 DRIVE RADIO May 16, 2026
Q: What do you think about the viability of robotic tire changers in shops?
The panel agreed it could work for high-volume tire shops and chains, but space in many shops is a major hurdle, and the upfront cost must be justified by volume.
- THE EXTRA MILE: Encore Presentation from February 7, 2026 (4-18-26)
Q: So Burke, how is it you can help them along these lines?
Burke explains that he handles the entire negotiation after the client invokes the appraisal clause, uses 80-page reports with detailed market data, and coordinates with independent appraisers to push for a higher settlement, often resulting in thousands more than the initial offer.
Your Digital Life: They’re Not Hacking You—You’re Giving It Away. (4-3-26)
Q: So, how does your background in digital services inform how businesses collect and use data for marketing?
The guest explains that digital marketing relies on first-party data, automation, and targeted campaigns, which improves efficiency but raises privacy concerns. He emphasizes balancing customer experience with responsible data stewardship and discusses the role of consent and opt-outs.
