  • Ancestral Connection through Beautiful Conversation

Dreaming the Ancestors is a beautiful foray into the wisdom and traditions of the WISE Isles. Tara Brading guides the guests in the weaving of history with modern life, helping those of us in the diaspora (and perhaps even those living in the WISE Isles) to learn and possibly even understand our own ancestors' experiences. These conversations help me, personally, to better connect with my ancestors and the land they were on, to understand our medicine. Thank you, Tara and all your guests, for th... more

  • I didn’t know what I was doing were Ancestral Skills!

Thank you so much for this brilliant podcast. I’ve found a little home in you! I didn’t realise that all the things I am doing and learning about still are Ancestral Skills. But made absolute sense once I heard about the range of things that fall into that broad and important way of being. I love learning about ritual too. And practicing ritual!

Love the being with the land too.

Amazing to hear you guys talk about ALL of this. Thanks.

  • Moaning

The content is great , I love it but I can’t get past all the moaning. It feels contrived and fake . One of the other reviewers said it perfect ….moaning and sighing doesn’t translate well on air . I will check back in later .

  • Content great, other sounds distracting

The concepts and focus of this podcast are great. But admittedly, the moans and breathing sounds become repetitive and predictable to the point I am focusing more on the sounds being made by the host than I am on the subjects. Hearing amplified the sounds of someone’s lips smacking together, then breathing and interjecting the half moaning sound of “mmmmm” several times is tough to listen to. In the most recent interview with the author of The Codex, there was incessant nervous tapping of a pen ... more
