  • Thoughtful and Necessary

We attended Doxa previously but moved out of state. I always enjoyed Doxa’s services in person and it is such a privilege to be able to continue to follow Scott and Chris’s biblical teachings. This podcast is well done and a great resource to aid in my education of the Lord, the Bible, and Christ’s teachings overall. Thank you!

Young ministers should check their desire for ministry within the context of their local church, seek opportunities for service, and be willing to learn and grow in their faith.
Are Some Sins Worse Than Others? | Mailbag
Q: Are there different tiers to sin?
Yes, while all sins are condemned by God's standards, there are distinctions between the severity of different sins based on their consequences, as illustrated in scripture.
Is God's Love the Same for Everyone? | Mailbag
Q: Does the Bible support that Jesus truly loves everyone?
The answer is nuanced; while God shows a general goodwill towards all and actively provides kindness, the notion of unconditional love for everyone is misleading, as His more intimate love is meant for those in Christ.
Ending the Day Well With Your Kids | An Interview with Jeremiah Canfield
Q: Do you have wisdom on how to think about phones with kids?
Jeremiah discusses starting to allow kids phones at age 12 while implementing strict rules about usage and accessibility.
Heaven and Back. What Stock Should We Put In Those Stories? | Mailbag
Q: What do biblical accounts of people returning from death reveal?
They highlight that these accounts focus on the power of Christ rather than the experiences themselves, pointing out the absence of detailed descriptions of heaven or hell in Scripture.
