  • So Rude

Whether I agree with her opinions or not truly doesn’t matter. I simply can no longer abide Tracie Hotchner’s rudeness. She invites amazing guests and spends her entire time on-air with them spouting off, over summarizing, answering her own questions, and barely allowing guests any semblance of a chance to get an edgewise word in. I listened longer than I should have because I enjoyed book recommendations, but every time I listened, Hotchner made me want to throw my phone in frustration. Serious... more

  • Horrible podcast.

Unfortunately this podcast is a waste of time. They do invite some special guests who have written great books but Tracy keeps criticizing most of them telling them what she thinks and how things should be according to her. Like the interview to Chopra's son in which she had the audacity to ask him if he knew that dogs could be house-trained! She is very rude and disrespectful and she supports the purchase of puppies! The worst episode is 10-15-2010 when she interviewed a supposed "trainer" who ... more

  • Interesting and informative

Yes, she is opinionated, but she is very informative. The podcast is fun to listen to and informative to boot. The information that is given is from experts. You can lear n about anything, from basic training to basic care. However, the podcast should be under training, not comedy. There is no jazz painist on the show! There is an astounding breadth of info presented. For example, If you are interested in learning about canine nutrition and what to look for in dog food, or if you are intere... more

The Sad Truth About Wolf Dogs as Pets
Q: Why are wolf dogs not suitable as pets in most cases?
Because they retain wild instincts such as high prey drive and strong need for space, making proper containment difficult; most households cannot meet these animals' environmental and social needs, leading to safety risks and poor welfare outcomes.
The Unique Concierge Veterinarian Who is a Longevity Specialist
Q: What are the core pillars of longevity care for pets?
The four pillars are diet and lifestyle, veterinary diagnostics and dental care, scientifically supported supplements, and longevity drugs like Rapamycin and Anticarbose, all tailored to the individual pet.
The Unique Concierge Veterinarian Who is a Longevity Specialist
Q: How do people find you as a longevity-focused veterinarian?
Many pet owners discover me through telemedicine and the unique angle I bring, focusing on long-term health rather than just immediate problems, which I think resonates with a subset of clients seeking a proactive wellness plan.
“Misadventures of the World’s Okayest Dog Trainer”
Q: What guided the discussion about neutering and keeping dogs intact, and how has your view evolved over time?
My perspective has shifted with time and experience, emphasizing individualized decisions guided by what's best for the dog's health, behavior, and the guidance of a trusted vet.
“Misadventures of the World’s Okayest Dog Trainer”
Q: Do you see this as being more for dog trainers or dog owners, really?
The book is a collection of anecdotes and experiences meant to speak to both audiences, offering behind-the-scenes insight for professionals while also providing relatable stories and lessons for dog owners.
