Deep.
I don’t review podcasts often, but I had to recognize Dissect for the recent super fun, super informative Last Song Standing season about the best albums of the 21st century. I like the idea of Dissect’s normal seasons—diving into one album for a long stretch—but the narration tends to feel really dry. Cole and Charles’s conversations, on the other hand, range from awestruck to petty to tender. Really made me feel something. I’m so grateful to this show for reconnecting me with some of the best ... more
Paused the pod to listen to Discovery lol.
Such a fan of this podcast. I love hip hop/rap, but my favorite season was Radiohead In Rainbows. What a masterpiece of a season. Agree with others who have shared it would be awesome for Cole to deep dive into albums from other genres.
one of a kind podcast. you can tell it’s done by someone who puts great deal of attention to people and life around. each track is viewed, music and lyrics wise, in its place in the overall concept. this is the only material on the internet to date, that puts kanye’s lvl of self development and his projects in perspective. thank you and please do the rest of his albums !
p.s. there’s more to discover for those willing to go further.
