I SO enjoy this podcast to understand what is happening in the world. I may be biased as my cousin is a Catholic bishop recently assigned to Bangladesh, but the episode with Taufiq Rahim was absolutely brilliant! He was able make clear the previous coup situation, the geopolitical context, and explain why this matters to the balance of world power. 👏
The podcast gets interesting guests to talk about the issues of the day and generally allows them space to put forward their view of world events.
However the sheer narcissism and chauvinism of Jason Pack makes Disorder a challenging listen. Pack demonstrates with astonishing clarity the lockstep adherence of what’s perceived as ‘realpolitik’ with US imperialist and foreign policy aims, and is always salivating at the prospect of getting out the heavy-duty materiel. Really disappointed with this - came for intelligent, serious analysis of a really important situation (Israel/Iran) … got subjective, ill-informed, un-evidenced waffle which doesn’t stack up with the facts of the combat so far.
