  • Comforting, Real, and Relatable

Being on Dimming the Gaslight was a great experience. Mac and Phil made it feel like a genuine conversation between people who truly understood each other. It was easy to connect with them, and we had such meaningful dialogue about things most people don’t talk about enough. They create a safe, supportive space that makes it comfortable to open up, and I left the episode feeling heard and validated. I’m grateful for their work and the space they’ve created for survivors.

  • Survivor

I hate being referred to as a victim of narcissistic abuse. I will say I survived it and I continue to survive it everyday because overcoming narcissistic abuse is daily. There is no simple fix. It’s full of constant triggers. It’s a slow process of healing a little bit more and more as time goes on. I was married to someone for 12 years who abused me in every way possible… and so many of these episodes are spot on and validating. Which is why I love them. My ex was so good at “crazy making” and... more

  • Companion during troubles

I started listening to this podcast during the beginning phases of my own divorce from a malignant narcissist. I would look forward to it every week. It was a big help in my time of need— just knowing that Mac and Phil’s nex-es—and my own— were so similar. It’s like they all ran the same operating system: Bully, Scheme, Delay, Accuse. Proved I was not going crazy.
