UTMB is the center of trail running for one week every year, and somehow the people most frustrated by it keep showing up. After a week in Chamonix, I came home thinking the problem with hating UTMB is that the race keeps complicating the argument ag... more

Josh strikes me as a really good dude but his effort to give us the thinking man’s running podcast hits me as overthought and full of weird LinkedIn-y thoughts like “I thought midsoles were made of foam until what I felt underfoot at Cocodona shook my soul.”
The topics are solid and the insight shows depth of knowledge, but it’s always negative. Every episode is full of what everyone is doing wrong and why what they’re doing is hurting trail running. If you want to know what’s causing the downfall of trail running, this podcast is for you. Hint: It’s everything. No one is doing anything right.
Great episodes and very interesting and unique topics. Appreciate the nuances discussed as well. Keep up the good work!
I got sucked in by the Laz episodes and now I’m working my way through the backlog.
