  • Concern from an abuse survivor

My concern as an abuse survivor (my daughter was raped as a child in a church) is that the emphasis on the “panic” and false reports has enabled the institution to have an excuse and to once again walk away from victims. I recognize there have been efforts to address this in the podcast series, however the weight of the presentation is towards the sensational failures of imagination.

I do see the rise of armed ushers and safety teams at churches as the new “panic”. You can get the boys to come ... more

  • Interesting until…

It’s started out well. Some interesting thoughts of what went on back in the day with the Satanic Panic. But then it turned into a rant against Trump and conspiracy theorist. I’m not touting one side or the other. I just didn’t come here for politics. It’s kind of pathetic how it keeps getting stuck in there and then did a whole episode on it with an actual politician. Give me a break. I won’t be wasting my time with any more podcasts from CT.

  • Right wing apologetics

I can’t emphasize enough how racist and callous Mike Cospar is. He baptizes any Israeli atrocity and consistently blames the victims of Israel’s atrocities for their situation.

This podcast continues to whitewash conservative reactions to cultural events. It downplays lies told by Christians just as “myths” and demonizes everyone who doesn’t subscribe to Mike Cosper’s mythic version of Christians. Mike Cosper will dismiss Billy Graham’s open anti-semitism, while slandering any current person... more
