I’m amazed at how these episodes calm me down - it’s like magic. It’s your voice, and the rhythm - like waves gently lapping… So soothing and they take my mind off everything. My breathing slows down. They’re great! So cool and such a unique idea.
This is one of the most monotonous and boring podcasts. And that’s exactly the point. The material is very nerdy and will put most people to sleep.
The narrator doesn’t read at an even remotely normal pace and he pronounces words strangely…which has the opposite effect on my brain because I keep noticing how not normal it is. “Why is he stretching that word out?” “Jeez, that was a long sssss sound.” “Is that a sentence or a phrase or the title of a section of the manual?” If he actually read manuals in a way that IS boring, this would be great.
LOVE this podcast! So great to have as a nice calming voice as background sound while working or fully concentrating on something else.
We wouldn’t exist without soil, so I’d say soil is deeply important. It was actually a riveting episode and very informative. The producers should actually choose insignificant topics if the goal is to tune it out.

This show uses a cognitive shuffling approach to help listeners quiet racing thoughts at night. Episodes feature calm, data-forward narration covering a wide range of standards, technical specs, and administrative topics—delivered in a steady, ASMR-inspired voice by a seasoned presenter. The format emphasizes rhythm and repetition over narrative, aiming to reframe insomnia into a structured, non-pharmacological sleep aid. A standout aspect is the consistent use of technical material—from metrology to accounting standards—to guide the brain into a resting state, making it particularly appealing to listeners who prefer precise, non-fiction content as a sleep tool. Potential listeners looking for a science-informed, low-stimulation sleep aid w... more
