  • Joel and logan are great

Joel and Logan are great…….. but the other two are absolutely terrible.

  • Good stuff, mostly

Joel and Logan’s podcast is good but I’m not crazy about the hosts of the Dawg Daily podcast. That one went downhill quick after Neil Price left.

  • Production needs improving

Only two of the shows actually have good production. The rest of the shows desperately need the hosts and guests to speak into their mics. They’re impossible to hear at normal volumes. Some hosts sound like they’re recording in their bathroom.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Dear Ol' State: Jans Talks SEC Tourney
Q: Does there feel like a cat-and-mouse game with how to defend Josh, and do you have plan A through E ready, or do you just play your normal game?
We have various adjustments ready, but the core focus remains on executing our game plan and making the necessary in-game decisions based on how the opponent defends Josh.
Dear Ol' State: Jans Talks SEC Tourney
Q: As you move into this first game on Wednesday, you'll be facing an opponent that we played here earlier this year in Auburn in an emotional game here at the hump. Does it help a little bit to have that first game in Nashville against a team with those connections?
It provides some familiarity and context for preparation, but you still must respect the unique energy of this tournament setting and prepare for the next challenge with a competitive mindset.
Rounding Third: Kiarra Sells
Q: Can you explain how you approach hitting when the moment is tough and the crowd is loud?
Breathing to manage heart rate, focusing on the plan, and visualizing success while staying grounded in the routine and the work prepped with the coaching staff.
Rounding Third: Kiarra Sells
Q: What was the key to your weekend performance and how did you handle the pressure of big moments?
Trust in preparation, rely on the plan laid out by coaches, and focus on executing the process rather than the outcome, while keeping things simple and having fun.
Dear Ol' State: Jans On The Regular Season's Final Week
Q: Coach, heading into the final week, what's kind of the mission?
The focus is to reset, scout the opponent, and get the team back to a competitive, energetic mindset with an emphasis on defense and finishing strong, while managing the emotional and physical toll of a tough stretch.
