J.D. as a host takes the time to really listen to his guests and asks meaningful questions. His episodes always leave me with a sense of a calmness eventhough topics can sometimes be heavy.
JD invited me to be a guest on What’s Your Story and I was nervous! This was my first time coming on a podcast since my 32 year old husband died suddenly and unexpectedly in May 2025.
JD created a warm and inviting atmosphere for me to tell my story and share my journey for the first time in long form. He asked the right questions, listened, made me feel heard, and seen and comfortable- all of which is not easy to do, especially given the topics covered and the nature of my story.

Thank you for giving your guests the time and space to share their stories, in their own words, in their own time.
People need to hear more stories like these, to know they’re not alone in their own stories & feelings. To also hear another perspective for those who haven’t had any issues or grief in their lives.
I know the guests have some relief and/or release by sharing as well. It takes courage to be so vulnerable & it can be empowering.
