Although Dan is at pains to point out he is not a historian, I find his approach to the past reassuringly robust and fair. Not only does he bring past events to life with his engaging telling, he also analyses events from the lens of the past helping us to understand what it was like “back then” and what we can learn about the past. Most importantly he helps us understand the more eternal truths about humanity that shape the world we live in now.
Four hours of non stop amazing history that rivets.
