I love this podcast. I doscivered it after hearing host Susie Wargin talk about it when she guest-co-hosted an episdoe of THE DAVE LOGAN PODCAST. Now, I live in Colorado, and I am a "homer," cheering for the Nuggets, Rockies, and Broncos. Ms Wargin has been around all those teams for decades, and she clearly made a lasting impression on players and coaching staffs. She has established relationships with most of the people she interviews. They quickly relax and lower their shields. She lets... more

Sylvester Williams
Q: How did the UNC experience shape you and lead to being drafted by the Broncos?
UNC provided a turning point: I learned to study, earned All-ACC honors, and decided to finish my degree. When I was drafted 28th overall by the Broncos, it felt like validation for the long, winding road from radiators to the NFL, and it underscored the importance of mentorship and perseverance.
Sylvester Williams
Q: What was it like growing up in St. Louis and how did you end up at Coffeyville Community College?
Growing up, I faced instability and financial stress, which made early academics tough. A pivotal football coach at my high school noticed my size and potential and steered me toward football as a path to college. After a difficult start, Coffeyville gave me a chance to develop my game and academics, turning my life around and opening doors to UNC.
Sylvester Williams
Q: Hello, Sylvester Williams. How are you?
I'm doing great. I'm excited to be here and share parts of my journey, especially how I turned early challenges into opportunities and what leadership means to me today.
Ryan Sutter
Q: What do you tell people on how to kind of get back up and keep moving forward?
Sometimes it's just reaffirming that you care about them, knowing that they have people behind them that support them. When they go through tough times, just being there for someone can make a difference.
John-Michael Liles
Q: What do you tell people when they're in those kind of down times on how to move forward?
The key is to enjoy the journey, regardless of the level of play, and to keep the spirit of fun alive.
