If life is meant to be enjoyed and not just lived then this podcast should be standard listening. Sometimes fun sometimes deep but always thought provoking as to what exactly the society we live in should be.
What better way to repent of driving my “mechanical jacobin” than to tune into this podcast filled with poetry, place, and politics in the tradition of Russell Kirk? Alan is a gentleman and a scholar, and he has good tastes in people and ideas.
A relaxed and comfortable cultural pace compared to much of the noise in our daily lives. Relax, pull up a chair, and enjoy the show!

Alan's interview skills and Mr. Newton's apparent candor yield an interesting discussion of art as a commodity. I must say that most people's interest in salability, value, and the whole commodity-ness concept a virtual cocklebur in my briefs.
