  • Relevant & Timely Podcast

It’s not an easy listen. Yet, more than timely to learn about these topics, listen to these stories, and being aware of the dark side of this world. Might help you or someone you know to avoid something terrible

  • Never realized I knew so little about cults until I started listening

First, I never realized how many cults are out there, the psychology behind how they operate and lure their "members" and how far reaching the cult-approach goes. The episode on MLM surprised me, but it was also scary the similarities to the truly scary cults out there. A real eye opener.

  • Cults are crazy. The people who find themselves in them are not…

People in cults never think they are in a cult. From the outside it can look obvious. From the inside it feels like belonging and purpose.

We are at a strange moment in this country. Some movements show patterns that critics compare to cult behavior.

Rebuilding Identity After Cult Control: Nikki G. on Survival and Healing (Part 2)
Q: What practical steps would you offer to someone starting to doubt their current group?
Trust your body's signals, document what you observe, research the group and its leaders, seek safe external support, and avoid taking definitive action alone. Build a plan with a therapist or intervention specialists, and ensure you have a safe environment before making any big changes.
Rebuilding Identity After Cult Control: Nikki G. on Survival and Healing (Part 2)
Q: How did being in multiple groups shape your understanding of manipulation and vulnerability?
It showed me that manipulation and gaslighting can be present across many forms of groups, and it taught me to identify red flags like love bombing, covert control, and the pressure to conform to a single truth. I also learned the importance of stepping back, seeking external knowledge, and building an internal compass to distrust hollow charisma.
Nicole Mafi-The Leader's Daughter (part 2)
Q: What would your advice be to someone thinking about joining a group they are unsure of?
If it feels wrong, it's probably wrong. Listen to your gut. Trust yourself.
Nicole Mafi-The Leader's Daughter (part 1)
Q: Can you expand on the abuse you mentioned you went through?
Nicole discusses her experiences of childhood abuse, including sexual abuse and its long-lasting psychological impact.
Polo The Ex JW
Q: Where are you in your faith today?
I'm in a place where I don't have to do anything; I'm open to exploring different beliefs without being tied down to one.
